Pupils at an East Hampshire school can get double the fun at lunchtime as two new adventure playgrounds have been opened.

A familiar face did the honours as Medstead Primary School welcomed back former governor Jennifer Lines to cut the ribbon.

The Reverend Howard Wright then blessed the school and the new facilities before pupils had their fun.

The school, parish council and Friends of Medstead School joined forces to provide funding for the playgrounds with the opening ceremony taking place last week.

The equipment on the largest has been designed for pupils aged five or older and is near the main playground, while a smaller climbing frame with moveable obstacles for younger children has been set up in the reception class play area.

The school and their headteacher, Matt Hunt, have also thanked Four Marks News for some “brilliant outdoor tables” which they generously helped to fund.
