A cyclist has died after a collision involving a white Renault Trafic van on the A31 near the Shepherd and Flock roundabout in Farnham.

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was cycling on the westbound carriageway of the A31 at Runfold when he was hit by the van at around 8.55pm on Tuesday evening.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. If you witnessed the collision or were driving along the A31 between 8.30pm and 9pm and have any dashcam footage please contact us quoting PR/45230120841."
