Alton Community Centre is to host another series of bicycle maintenance workshops for women.
Cycle Alton is gearing up for another programme with the first of four free evening workshops taking place at the centre on Monday, September 16.
The bicycle maintenance and repair workshops are run for women, by women, and will cover puncture repairs and the adjustment and maintenance of wheels, brakes and gears.
Women should bring their own bikes to the workshops, which last around two hours with tea and coffee being provided.
Further workshops will take place on October 7, 14 and 21 but spaces are limited and should be booked early through [email protected]
The workshops follow the success of a similar programme in February led by experienced bicycle mechanic Hilary Hill.
A waiting list developed as the classes – held with the aim of passing on bike maintenance skills and building confidence – were hugely popular.
