An Alton charity has received a helping hand from a North Hampshire organisation after providing them with care and respite.

For the second year running Alton Cardiac Rehab has received a £1,000 donation from Elvetham Masonic Lodge as many of their members have received care from the charity in the past.

Peter Foster, steward of charity at Elvetham Lodge, benefited from Cardiac Rehab’s support while many of his colleagues were aided in preparing and recovering from cancer treatment by the good cause.

The donation to Cardiac Rehab is not out of the blue as masonic lodges throughout Hampshire have donated over £1million to deserving causes over the last year.

Most of Cardiac Rehab’s patients were treated in North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke, where the Alton team work tirelessly to ensure a smooth recovery.

Costs of this care are not covered by the NHS and therefore donations much like this one are needed to keep this organisation running.
