WEDITION, a new business inspired by its founder’s wedding at Farnham Castle, has gone one step further after scooping the ‘Best Newcomer’ gong for the south central region at the Wedding Industry Awards in December – taking home the national title last week.
Liz Gatherer, of Aldershot, attended the awards evening in London on January 17 and was ecstatic to win this highly sought-after prize.
Her business, Wedition, creates personalised wedding magazines styled to a couple’s wedding and colour scheme to use on the day as a favour or to send out as an invitation.
“It’s incredible to think just 10 months ago I was at my first wedding fair selling an idea, I now have a strong brand and high quality product which is making my couples wedding day that extra bit special and memorable. It is a real joy to work within this wonderful industry,” she said.
She has also recently produced her first corporate version of Wedition for Kiko Matthews, who is planning to become only the sixth woman to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic while raising £100,000 for Kings College Hospital’s new critical care unit.
Liz produced a magazine for Kiko’s farewell fundraiser which told her story, detailed the auction and raffle prizes, and contained information on the charity as well as sponsorship packages.
