VILLAGERS have been urged to have their say on a vision for the future of Liss Forest recreation ground.
The parish council has joined forces with the Liss Forest Residents Association to prepare a “vision statement” for the future of the popular space off Forest Road.
Hard copies were delivered to villagers in October but the consultation will run until the end of January as questionnaires can be downloaded from www.lissparishcouncil.gov.uk
The partners want the recreation ground to remain “a green and pleasant open space” and are keen on encouraging re-naturing and biodiversity at the plot.
But they also want to enhance the range of activities it offers while respecting its “multi-functional use and natural look”.
Ideas for the site include outdoor exercise equipment and a tennis table along with a possible enhancement and slight extension of the basketball court with a second post being touted.
Completed hard copies of the questionnaire should be returned to the Liss Parish Council office.
