Students at a Mid-Hampshire college have given the class of 2023 a lesson with an improved set of a A-Level results.
Peter Symonds College has congratulated students for their “incredible results” with a 98.3 per cent pass rate being reported.
Exactly a third of grades awarded at the Winchester college were A* or A while the proportion of the very highest grades – A*, A or B – is 63 per cent, and the A* to C figure is 83 per cent.
The results were a case of history repeating as PSC students often out-perform their peers, with this year being no exception.
“There was some suggestion that nationally, 2024 would see a fall in student grades but it’s not something Symonds has seen,” said principal, Sara Russell.
“Our results are even higher than those achieved in 2023: the students have done brilliantly and we are extremely proud of each and every one of them.”
