THE children at Medstead Pre-School and Nursery have an extension to their outside play area.

Over the summer holidays, new fencing was put up, paving slabs laid and raised flower beds created.

The children are now enjoying digging and planting flowers and vegetables. Thanks have been expressed to the Medstead fete committee for funding the £1,000 project, and to Garthowen Garden Centre at Four Marks who donated the compost.

The addition was expected to interest propsective parents and children when they visited the joint open afternoon at Medstead Pre-School and Medstead Primary School on Thursday.
