Seventeen-year-old Alanta Richards from Farnham has won the ‘beauty with a purpose’ category in this year’s Miss London beauty pageant.
Alanta, who is studying to be a beauty therapist at college, raised £1,736 for Papyrus, a charity addressing suicide in young adults, by taking part in a sponsored para-sail to win the commendable category.
She also placed in the top five overall in the 2023 Miss London contest, and has automatically qualified for the final of next year’s Miss England competition.
Alanta was the youngest Miss London contestant for a second year running and was sponsored by The Dental Group in Southampton. She still holds her title of Miss Hampshire.
The beauty pageant was held at the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences in London.
