A CHARITY dog show raised more than £1,300, kick-starting a campaign to pay for a new classroom at Binsted Primary School.
The “very well attended” event, held at Binsted Recreation Ground on September 19, was the first in an ambitious effort to raise at least £113,000 for the project.
Ann Livingston, admin officer at the school, said the dog show was a success with a “very good amount” raised.
She explained that to officially launch the campaign the school is opening its doors from 6pm on Friday, October 9, when people will be able to view plans for the new classroom and donate to the cause.
