SOVEREIGN B are still looking down on the FDBSL but the undefeated leaders didn’t have it easy against their ‘A’ counterparts in a top of the table clash.
They were 2-0 up and cruising thanks to convincing frames by Tony Edwards and Allan Gomez, only for Shakeel Ahmad and Dean Goodall to hit back.
Liss RBL A also had to settle for a draw against champions Comrades A with Kevin Woodford hitting excellent breaks of 31 and 38 against Michael Casey. But Paul Murphy lost his 100 per cent record in the third before Ian Etherington edged a tight one against Neil Callingham in the fourth.
The biggest story of the night involved a familiar name with Ryan Mears once again topping the breaks table with an 81 clearance for Sovereign C against a winless Shottermill, beating the 80 previously set by Russell Wishart by a point.

There’s yet another new leader in Division Two with Passfield making a strong case for back-to-back promotions thanks to a 3-1 win against a decent Rowledge B side.
Big breaks have been lacking in the second tier with the 25 for Tim Allen of Farnham Cons B in a 2-2 draw against Hindhead RBL B being the biggest of the night.
There was also a much needed win for Comrades B in a 3-1 against fellow strugglers Traco E with Pete Casey securing victory for the Haslemere side.

Alton Cons A remain four clear in Division Three but lost their 100 per cent record in a 2-2 draw against Frensham D. The visitors were 2-1 up but Chris Schiel’s 56-30 win against Barrie Etherington maintained his side’s undefeated record.
Carl Saunders could be making a second presentation night appearance in three years as his 37 break for Alton Cons F in a 2-2 against Lindford C was the highest of the season so far. Joe Ingram also made a 25 for the WMC side in an entertaining match.
