Aldershot & Farnham (A&F) Hockey Club’s ladies’ first team crashed to a 6-1 defeat at Horsham in the South East Women’s Premier Division on Saturday.

Horsham set the pace from the first whistle, but A&F took the lead when Sophie Edwards went on a solo run and slotted the ball in the back of the net.

A&F keeper Taylor Goodrich made some excellent saves, but Horsham scored three goals before the break to lead 3-1 at half-time.

Goodrich made a number of saves in the second half, and goals were also saved on the line by Laura Gibson and Louise Laws.

Horsham scored three more goals to run out comprehensive 6-1 winners.

A&F’s ladies also lost 2-1 at home to Knole Park.

The visitors led 1-0 at half-time, and doubled their advantage after the break.

A&F kept plugging away and Sophie Edwards pulled a goal back late on to make it 2-1.

Petersfield’s women’s first team won 7-6 at home to Waterside on Saturday.

Petersfield raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Stratton-Brown and O'Kelly.

The visitors pulled a goal back, but A Thomas quickly restored Petersfield’s two-goal cushion and made it 3-1.

Waterside then scored three goals in four minutes to go 4-3 up, but A Thomas slotted home to make it 4-4 at half-time.

The second half started frenetically. O'Kelly hit the ball from the edge of the D into the bottom left-hand corner to make it 5-4, but Waterside equalised within 60 seconds.

Z Thomas put Petersfield 6-5 up, but Waterside equalised from a penalty stroke.

A Thomas scored Petersfield’s winner with five minutes remaining.

Petersfield’s women's second team drew 2-2 against Portsmouth’s third team on Saturday, but Petersfield’s men’s third team crashed to a 5-1 defeat at Lavant.

Petersfield’s men’s third team also lost 4-3 against Haslemere’s sixth team.

Petersfield went 2-0 up thanks to two goals from Leo Cropley, but Haslemere then scored three goals to lead 3-2 at half-time.

Petersfield equalised in the second half, but Haslemere scored a penalty flick to win the game.
