Haslemere Town under-ten Hornets beat Mytchett Athletic Falcons 3-2 on a sunny morning.
The home team pressed straight from kick-off, which resulted in a back pass to the away keeper and an indirect free kick. The fee kick was played into the path of James Whitney, who placed his shot perfectly into the bottom corner.
Mytchett then started to take control and scored two goals.
The Hornets responded well and played some excellent passing football. When a shot was blocked it bounced out of the box towards Barney Hughes, who unleashed a volley into the top corner to bring his team back level. Haslemere were then awarded a penalty, but the Mytchett keeper saved it.
The Hornets were now well on top and pressed high up the pitch. After a scramble in the box, the ball broke to Nick Wheeler, who calmly found the bottom corner.
