Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson has hailed his title-winning side.
Town received the Isthmian League South Central Division title after Saturday’s 2-0 win against Kingstonian.
Farnham have secured back-to-back promotions, and Johnson’s side celebrated their latest success with a packed crowd at The Memorial Ground.
“It was a great day and a perfect ending to the day,” said Johnson.
“Kingstonian came to try to nick a point and it was a frustrating first half.
“I asked the boys to give the crowd something in the second half.
“I told Harry Cooksley to shoot from distance and he delivered – and then the team delivered after that.
“The game opened up a bit and we were worthy winners in the end.
“It was difficult. Kingstonian went to a back five and made it difficult, and we needed a spark.
“The pitch is a bit tough and a bit bobbly at this time of year, and it was difficult to get anything going.
“The goal came at a good moment in the game, which lifted everyone.
“Great Evans came on and caused them problems and got his goal.
“We could have had a couple more in the end, but we're happy with two.”
Johnson praised the role of Town chairman Harry Hugo in the club’s success.
“What we've done over the past couple of years has been amazing,” said Johnson.
“What Harry has done with the social media side of things and building the club and people that have followed us – we’ve given the town something to celebrate and it's a great occasion for all.
“A couple of years ago I don't think they would ever think this was possible but Harry's made it possible and the boys on the pitch have done the business and delivered what Harry's wanted.
“Everyone at the club is involved. Everyone knows each other's names and we respect each other and it's part of why we're so successful.
“The way we've gone about it and done it, we've been excellent.
“We've got three games to go and then we'll reflect on it all and sit down and get ready for next season.
“It's a great occasion and hopefully there's more to come.
“We're no fools. We know how tough it's going to be next year, but we're ambitious.
“We want to compete.”
Farnham will be taking part in an open top bus trophy parade on Easter Monday.
The bus will set off from The Memorial Ground at 4pm on Easter Monday, before finishing in Castle Street for speeches and photos.
