Two pigs named after the wives in The Flintstones have a new home thanks to an online Auction of Promises held by Broadlands Equine Therapy and Riding for the Disabled in February.

A Broadlands spokesperson said: “Our maintenance team had kindly donated their services as a unique lot for the auction. The winning bidder asked for some land to be fenced off for their pigs. The team really enjoyed their day securing a safe place for Wilma and Betty!”

The auction raised £7,500. Broadlands is holding a quiz night at Medstead Village Hall on April 25 at 6.45pm. Tickets cost £15, including a chilli meal. Book at www.broadlandsgrouprda.org.uk
