ACTION for Carers Surrey (ACS) received a collection of Christmas goodies from Tesco, Haslemere, as part of the supermarket’s Supporting Community initiative.

Jo Bouslimi, community champion at Tesco’s Haslemere superstore, was happy to make the donation.

She said: "It was an absolute pleasure to support such a worthwhile cause, and I hope the gifts bring a smile to the faces of some of the carers at Christmas."

Sarah Ferris, ACS’s fundraiser, was delighted to pick up the special Christmas items from the team.

"We’re so grateful for Tesco Haslemere’s support," said Sarah. "Looking after someone can be an exhausting role, so it’s lovely to be able to give our carers a Christmas treat."

Charity ACS gives free, tailored support to more than 16,000 unpaid carers of all ages throughout Surrey, looking after a sick or disabled relative.

Activities include yoga and mindfulness, as well as support group sessions both in person and on Zoom.
