A primary school near Petersfield is celebrating after receiving high praise in an Ofsted report.

Sheet Primary School underwent inspection by the national regulator at the end of January, with the report being released today (Wednesday, March 5).

The school's leadership and commitment to its pupils were recognised and celebrated in the report, and highlighted the exceptional work being done.

The report also praises the school's focus on personal development and behaviour and attitudes and has graded these two areas as ‘outstanding’, noting the staff's dedication to ensuring the best for each and every child is truly admirable.

“We are thrilled to have received such positive feedback from Ofsted,” said headteacher Julie Robinson.

"We value the aspects of personal development that have been noticed, and we will continue to do our best for each and every child.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, the support of our parents, and the resilience and enthusiasm of our pupils.”

The Ofsted report has been a source of great pride for the school community, and the inspectors recognised the school's unwavering commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils, enabling them to thrive both academically and personally.

In addition, the school’s quality education, leadership and management, and early years provision, were rated as ‘good’.

Ms Robinson added: “We will continue to build on this success and ensure that Sheet Primary School remains a beacon of excellence in the local community."
