A REQUEST to extend its play area into the churchyard has opened a can of worms for St Lawrence Primary School.

According to a letter, sent to parents by chairman of governors Sarah Broadbent, an approach has been made and agreed by Winchester Diocese to extend land currently on loan to the school to create a safer environment for outdoor learning.
