St Peter’s Church in Ropley is re-opening over the bank-holiday weekend – eight years after it was devastated by fire.
The opening ceremony, plaque unveiling and reception is on August 26 at 6.30pm.

There will be a free open day on August 27 from 10am to 4pm including treasure hunts, a play area, arts and crafts and a visiting fire engine. Ropley Historical Society will be showing material on St Peter’s and there will be a chance to ring hand bells.
Architect John Alexander will lead tours explaining the rebuilding at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
Bishop David Williams will lead the opening service on August 28 at 10.30am.
The church will be open for refreshments on August 29 from 10am to 4pm.
An all-age celebration to welcome children and teenagers will be held on September 4 at 4pm.
