Rodborough School’s Year 11s have achieved the school’s best ever results in this year’s GCSE summer exams.

Eighty-one per cent of students achieved a pass in English and Maths, with 64 per cent achieving a grade 5 or above, up nearly 10 per cent from the year before.

There were also some inspiring individual stories, Katie Heslop achieved grade 9 in 11 GCSE examinations. Equally as inspiring were the grades achieved by Oscar Budd, who had life changing operations this year but still achieved 7 GCSE passes.

Principal Emma Hunston said: “The results are down to the incredible teamwork between the school, parents and students. I am incredibly grateful to the Rodborough staff that have guided, nurtured and inspired the Year 11s through their journey.

“We are so delighted that these fantastic results mean that the class of 2024 have so many opportunities available to them on the next stage of their adventures.”
