Nursery staff can’t wait to shell out on play improvements after receiving a £1,000 handout from the Alton Lions.
Raising money for good causes is child’s play for the Lions as they donated the sum to Bushy Leaze Children and Families Centre through their Easter Eggs-travaganza project.
Representatives from the good cause recently visited the facility on Eastbrooke Road to see how the funds will be spent.
They were given the lowdown on the £10,000 redevelopment of the nursery’s outside play area with Bushy Leaze headteacher Becky Hussey thanking the Lions for the generous donation.
She said: “The staff at Bushy Leaze wish to thank Alton Lions for kick-staring our fundraising for the year.
“We really appreciate the ongoing support from Alton Lions, who last year contributed towards our new sensory room.”
Both Bushy Leaze and the Lions have thanked the 16 Alton-area businesses and their clientele for taking part in the Eggs-travaganza.
