If you’re hungry for political debate ahead of the general election then two forthcoming events in Petersfield should whet your appetite.

St Peter’s Church will hold the now-traditional hustings event next Tuesday (June 11) with all Prospective Parliamentary Candidates for East Hampshire confirming their attendance.

The Post has joined forces with Shine Radio and St Peter’s to hold the “Election Questions” event from 7pm. Entry is free while questions for the candidates can be submitted through https://shineradio.uk

The candidates will also sit around the table at The Folly Upstairs this Friday (June 7) as a networking group is hosting an election special for the town’s business community.

People who join the First Friday Petersfield shindig will get the chance to hear from the candidates following an “informal and friendly” lunch from midday.

Participants will outline their positions before fielding questions from the audience in a panel format over coffee.

Tickets are £22.50 per person to include lunch and coffee with questions to the panel welcome in advance at [email protected]
