A NATURAL church has taken root at St Matthew’s CE Primary School in Blackmoor.

Pupils planted a willow dome with Ganesh and Elaine of Ganesh Unlimited.

Headteacher Kay Henrie said: “We had an exciting week. All children in the school were involved and made bird feeders, living pencils and wishing stars throughout the week.

“We were fortunate to have a grant towards this from a local church group and this dome will become an outdoor prayer space for the children at school, and for the church community to use at weekends.

“The school captains and ambassadors formally opened it.

“Alice Wood, our vicar, will conduct a blessing service later this term.”
