A hairdressing salon in Alton is offering people a chance to have their hair done at an affordable price on Fridays.
Eve Hairdressing in Normandy Street has launched ‘Pay What You Can Afford Wet Cut Fridays’ in a bid to help those suffering in the cost-of-living crisis.
Owner Eve Connor said: “As we all know, life is more expensive now. Hair is more of a luxury than a necessity when it comes to paying bills and looking after ourselves and our families.
“So we decided to give something back. Every Friday we are offering all wet cuts at whatever you can afford to pay.
“How we present ourselves is a big part of making up our self-esteem and mental health. For those reasons alone I am doing this, as I hope I can genuinely help.”
People can book on the salon’s Ovatu You app by selecting ‘pay what u can wet cut Friday’, or by texting Eve on 07902 011179.
Eve added: “The price is £0 and you can choose to pay what’s comfortable for you, awkwardness-free.
“Please feel free to share the love and book a loved one or friend in. You can pay for them in advance over the phone to give them a little boost.
“I hope this reaches the right people and is made the most of. This is the month of love after all!”
