The magic of Christmas came to St Lawrence CE Primary School in Alton as its Key Stage 1 pupils staged a traditional nativity.
Children from Year R Willow Class, taking part in their first nativity, played the starring roles of Mary and Joseph, plus the shepherds, sheep, donkey and a huge choir of angels.
Those in Year 1 Oak and Year 2 Larch classes took on the parts of the three kings, the stars, carol singers and a host of other roles.
Year 2 teacher Emily Glew said: “Every child in Key Stage 1 at St Lawrence Primary School was involved in their nativity entitled A King Is Born!.
“The Christmas story was narrated by Year 2, with Year 1 and Year R acting their parts beautifully.
“The singing was fantastic and every class had their own moment to shine with their own song.
“The audience loved the production and joined in to sing We Wish You A Merry Christmas to end the show.”
Headteacher Fiona Micklefield added: "It is a real privilege to hear the Christmas story told by our children through their readings, acting and singing.
“As well as a nativity in Key Stage 1, our Key Stage 2 pupils also perform in a cantata at St Lawrence Church to a live band. They absolutely love it and blow me away with their singing.
“We are always so proud of all our children at St Lawrence."
