Fundraisers young and old have been thanked by an equine charity on a morning of horsing around in Medstead.
There was a record turnout when Broadlands Equine Therapy & Riding for the Disabled held an Open Morning at their site off Lower Paice Lane.
The smiles were as wide as the stables with visitors getting the chance to see the facilities, meet the ponies and watch participants ride in the arena.
Annabelle Rafter was named most improved rider while Chris Lewis was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award.
But all their riders were winners and rosettes were received by all on a day of tea, cake and celebration with a fun dog show also proving popular.
One of the biggest stars was Ben Rafter as the ten-year-old brother of a Broadlands rider shaved his head with all his friends present.
His hair will be donated to the Little Princes Trust while the proceeds - £1,052 and counting – will be split between Broadlands and his school.
Jamie MacCallum, who is stepfather to another Broadlands rider, has also gone to great heights for the charity as he recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge.
He managed to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon with 45 minutes to spare with his mountaineering exploits raising £1,600, while his wife, Cheryl, drove her husband to the peaks in Scotland, the Lake District and North Wales.
It costs nearly £120,000 a year to keep Broadlands operational so the charity is hugely grateful for their support.
