Theatregoers will be taken down the rabbit hole this weekend as a Hampshire am-dram group is bringing an unseasonal show to Alton.

August isn’t usually time for pantomimes – oh no it’s not – but Pumpkin Pantos like to do things differently.

The outfit will take to the Assembly Rooms stage this Saturday with 2pm and 4.30pm performances of Alice in Wonderland.

Dive into a world of whimsy and wonder with a company director, Josh Dixon, promising crowds a “spectacular adaptation” of the Lewis Carroll classic with colourful costumes and sensational music numbers

He said: “Following the overwhelming success of previous productions, we can’t wait to share our unique take on this popular story delivered by a talented line-up of local professional actors.

“This fast-paced show combines timeless storytelling with the usual fun and flair of panto our audiences have come to expect.”
