PARALYMPIC hand cyclist Rachel Morris says she has been overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of Herald readers, whose donations have put her back on track to defend her title at London 2012.
An appeal to raise £7,500 to replace the cycle that was destroyed in a devastating accident on the A31 at Bentley a fortnight ago has incredibly reached more than double its target in less than a week.
The appeal organisers closed a website to further donations on Wednesday with around £16,500 raised.
