PARALYMPIC hand cyclist Rachel Morris has been overwhelmed by Herald readers, whose donations have put her back on track to defend her title at London 2012.

An appeal to raise £7,500 to replace the cycle that was destroyed in a crash on the A31 at Bentley a fortnight ago has reached more than double its target in less than a week.

The appeal organisers closed a website to donations on Wednesday with £16,500 raised.
