MANY bins will be overflowing after the festive period, and Christmas trees will now be added to the pile.
So where can you take all that excess waste?
Subscribers to garden waste collection services in Waverley and East Hampshire can put their real Christmas tree out with their garden waste.
In Waverley, trees can also be dropped off at Farnham Park (on the bonfire site), Farnham Community Recycling Centre, Rowledge Recreation Ground car park, Haslemere Recreation Ground car park, and Woolmer Hill Sports Ground car park.
In East Hampshire, real trees can also be disposed of at the district’s household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) with a booked appointment.
Artificial trees can also be disposed of at community recycling centres.
Wrapping paper, greetings cards and gift tags can be put in recycling bins - but remove as much sticky tape as you can, fold down boxes, and do not include wrapping paper with foil or glitter or cards with batteries.
