Here’s music to the ears of classical fans as a sensational orchestra and their award-winning special guest will perform in Farnham this Sunday.
The Surrey Symphonic Wind Band will bring plenty of pomp and circumstance to the Maltings this Sunday as their Afternoon at the Proms will begin at 3pm.
The programme incorporates a huge score of classics and many musical greats such as Vaughan, Williams, Wagner, and Mancini.
The band will perform under the baton of Bruce Miller for the two-hour show with the conductor having previously been Director of Music of the Irish Guards Band.
Expect a fanfare with a special guest appearance from Enrico Tomasso performing the Harry James Trumpet Concerto. His popularity in European Jazz festivals and clubs places him in the top tier of musical performances.
Audiences will be blown away by Tomasso’s exciting presence and lively personality on stage as the six-time British Jazz Award-winning is a titan of the genre.
After all that jazz, the concert will finish with some traditional classics including Fantasia on British Sea Songs and Pomp and Circumstance No.1.
