A remarkable tale about an English aristocrat who became an Irish revolutionary will be told on the big screen in Beech later this week.
Screen by the Green returns to Beech Village Hall this Friday evening (November 8) with the opening credits to Baltimore (15) rolling at 7.30pm.
The film, based on the true story of Rose Dugdale, is set in 1974 – a year marked by intensive IRA activity exemplified by the devastating Guildford pub bombings.
The film follows Dugdale's extraordinary transformation and the infamous Russborough House art heist, where priceless paintings worth millions were stolen in what became one of Ireland's most notorious art crimes.
Imogen Poots gives a “commanding, intense and compelling performance” as Dugdale with the film earning widespread acclaim.
The Radio Times lavished praise on its "newsreel footage, telling dream sequences, and suitably pulsating soundtrack" in calling it a “thrilling, edge of the seat watch”.
Tickets are just £6.50 in advance with no booking fee from www.beechvillage.org.uk or £7 on the door.
Doors open at 6.45pm while a bar, snacks and ice cream will be available along with free parking.
Early booking is advised as there is limited space.
