People with great local navigational knowledge are being sought by Cycle Alton.

The group has been awarded a grant to improve its signs and, in conjunction with Walk Alton, it plans to make sure everyone knows how to get into the town using its green spaces, quiet roads and paths.

Chris Chappell, of Cycle Alton, said: “Many people haven’t yet spotted the beautiful green spaces and quiet corners of Alton. We are especially keen to involve people on the new estates - Hop Field Place, Oaklands Heights, Maple Fields, Barley Fields, Selborne Park, Ackender Hill and Alexandra Place - as well as The Ridgeway."
