The walk, to take place around Hogmoor Inclosure and parts of the town, is a family-friendly event aimed at strengthening community ties and raising money for good causes.
Residents are invited take part in the fantastic community event and walk the 5k course, starting at 11am on Saturday, May 21.
Held annually, this year’s event is run in partnership by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elder Association (AMEA), East Hampshire District Council and the Whitehill Bordon Community Trust.
Charities can apply to take part in the walk and, in doing so, benefit from the money raised.
Cllr Julie Butler, EHDC deputy leader and portfolio holder for welfare and community integration, said: “We’re delighted to have so many charities taking part in this year’s Charity Walk for Peace.
“They will bring their own supporters along to the work and I hope we see lots of local residents turn up and join in too.
“The more people we have, the better the atmosphere and the more money we can raise for these wonderful causes.”
M Zakariyya Choudhry, regional president of the AMEA, said: “Everyone is welcome to the Charity Walk for Peace. The AMEA started the walks to promote peace and encourage community spirit as well as raising money for all the great charities that do so much to help us in our local area.
“Come along to Hogmoor Inclosure on May 21 and take part in a fantastic family-friendly event – we would love to see you there.”
