Characters ranging from Harry Potter to Snow White appeared at Anstey Junior School in Alton as children and teachers celebrated World Book Day on March 6.

World Book Day is a charity event held annually in the UK and Ireland on the first Thursday in March.

On World Book Day, every child in full-time education in the UK and Ireland is given a voucher to spend on books. It was first celebrated in the UK in 1998.
