Good causes in Alton and Four Marks are being invited to apply for the chance to win £1,000 from care home company Hartford Care.

This annual Community Fund scheme has been launched to celebrate the opening of Hartford Care’s new Alton Place home in Winchester Road, Alton, in partnership with the company’s existing Belford House home in Lymington Bottom, Four Marks.

Community groups, charities and organisations based in Alton or Four Marks are being encouraged to apply. They will be asked to outline on their application form what services they provide the community and how the money would be used.

People can pick up an application form from Alton Place or Belford House. They can also apply online by visiting the Hartford Care website at https://hartfordcare.co.uk/about-us/our-community/community-grant/

The deadline to submit an application is at midnight on June 11. Every entry received will be considered by a panel that will include Hartford Care staff and residents. The winning initiative will be informed and a celebratory reception will be held at Alton Place for staff and the organisation on June 26.

Emma Jones, who is the operations director at Hartford Care, said: “Our company ethos is ‘Creating Caring Communities’, with our philosophy of care underpinned by creating communities that are friendly, kind and welcoming of everyone, caring for each other and celebrating individuality by recognising that everyone needs something different to thrive.

“What better way to give back to our wonderful communities than supporting local initiatives? We look forward to hearing from the fantastic organisations in our neighbourhood.”
