Time could be called at one of the oldest pubs in Hampshire as a 16th century inn near Farnham faces a funding crisis.
The landlords of the Plume of Feathers in Crondall have reached out to the community for help as they need £10,000 to meet the pub’s running costs.
Gaz and Emma have invested their own funds into the watering hole since taking over 18 months ago and loved running the pub and connecting with the community.
But rising costs and downturn in trade means they need a helping hand with an online appeal being launched to raise the five-figure sum.
The pub is one of the county’s oldest and most historic as infamous political figure Oliver Cromwell is rumoured to have stayed there in October 1645 on his way to Basing House.
Nearly £1,100 has been donated so far, to help save the Plume head to https://tinyurl.com/ynmdfrnj
