An annual exhibition featuring the work of nine local potters returns to Alton for the sixth time in ten years this weekend.
If you’re potty for pottery then the forthcoming Ceramicus exhibition in the Allen Gallery should get you fired up.
Visitors can expect to see a host of beautiful creations in a wide range of colours during the month-long exhibition.
It all begins this Saturday, October 5, with a “meet the artist” event which each showcasing an individual approach to creating and firing clay objects.
The group was formed in 2014 while members use a variety of techniques, as work is created on the wheel or by hand and fired using simple outdoor Raku kilns or in more conventional gas or electric equipment.
The exhibition runs until November 3 and is open from 10.30am to 4pm every Tuesday to Sunday, free entry.
All work may be purchased on the day.
