Dogs for Autism’s latest trainee assistance dog was introduced to This Morning viewers recently.
The eight-week-old Labrador puppy is being trained to transform the life of an autistic person, and during his journey will be the This Morning puppy, with regular visits to the daytime television programme.
This Morning viewers voted for their favourite name and chose Buddy for the yellow Labrador retriever pup, seen here with the charity’s chief executive Hilary Armour, Dr Scott Miller and chief operating officer Jan Kiley, who was interviewed on the show.
Saturday Night Takeaway hosts Ant and Dec bumped into Buddy at the television studios and asked for him to join them on set while they talked about their upcoming series.
Buddy’s training and after care will cost £25,000. Donations are welcome, as are volunteer puppy parents. For more details email www.dogsforautism.org.uk
