A DATE has been set for the opening of Alton’s new sports centre.

Everyone Active, which manages the centre in partnership with East Hampshire District Council, has announced the grand opening of the new facility will take place on Saturday, January 11.

An official ribbon cutting has been scheduled for 10am ahead of a fun-filled family day.

Attendees will also have the chance to win a £3,500 prize giveaway.
