A working party has asked for the public’s help as they’re keen to update a sporting directory.

The Active Alton Working Party created a comprehensive directory containing details of clubs, venues, sporting organisations and places which encourage exercise and physical activity.

The booklet was funded by EHDC and the Alton Society with an electronic version appearing on the town council’s website, which also supported the scheme.

The publication – which is available in the library, community centre and local surgeries – has been hugely popular with 3,700 website hits and 2,000 printed versions being distributed during the last 12 months.

But its last update was two years and now it needs refreshing, so representatives have been urged to check the website to see if their clubs and organisations are included.
