Alton Community Centre’s first Christmas Cracker Fair since 2019 featured 45 stalls selling festive gifts and raised £1,374.33 for the Alton Community Association.
Father Christmas spent the day in Santa’s Grotto with his elves Jingle and Jangle along with a walking talking Christmas Cracker.
There was a Christmas movie area and craft activities for children, and the Kings Pond Shantymen sang sea shanties to entertain the crowds.
Dementia Friendly Alton offered advice and a chat while planting some spring bulbs in a plant pot decorated by its members.
Community association trustees and staff provided mulled wine and Christmas cheer, and there was also a hamper raffle.
The money raised will help the association provide non-profit activities, such as its Community Club for the Elderly, and a warm hub for the whole community.
