The saying goes that the best things come in small packages.

And that should be the case this weekend as a miniature world will be explored at an Alton attraction with a big future.

Staff and volunteers at the Curtis Museum are a tiny bit excited as this Saturday sees the launch of their Dolls House weekend.

Visitors to the Church Street attraction will get the chance to play and view dolls houses of varying sizes over the two days.

They will also get the chance to buy dolls houses along with a variety of handmade and pre-loved items for cash from The Friends of the Curtis Museum and Allen Gallery on Saturday, with miniature items also for sale in the museum shop.

The main event will be on Saturday with the museum welcoming members of the North East Hants Miniatures Group.

The Kennet Miniaturists will also make their first visit to the museum while local exhibitors will also support the day’s activities, while a themed trail on both days will be another highlight.

The events on Sunday are intended for younger visitors with dolls houses for children to play with and various activities to enjoy.

The event is ideal for anyone interested in dolls houses and accessories, for more information contact the community manager on 01420 82802 or email [email protected].
