A teenager was arrested "at gunpoint" after an alleged assault at Wrecclesham Recreation Ground on Tuesday (May 30).
Police officers, along with armed response officers, attended the scene after they were called to reports of a man threatening two women with a weapon.
Eye-witnesses said a man was walking down Copse Way at around 4.45pm when two police cars and a dog unit arrived, and armed officers arrested him "at gunpoint".
Police confirmed Charles Patrick, 18, of Runwick Lane in Farnham, has since been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, three counts of assault and criminal damage in connection with the incident.
He appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (June 1), was released on conditional court bail, and is next due to appear at Staines Magistrates’ Court on November 7.
