Many schools claim to offer a nurturing ethos, a culture of care and support in the classroom for all, but what does that really mean and what does it look like?
Is it about providing a learning environment for some of the most vulnerable young people in our community where they can feel happy and secure and able to learn?
Is it about providing the right balance of challenge and support to allow students of all abilities to flourish and achieve the best outcomes possible?
Or is it about enabling a thriving community, which seeks to invest in its staff and their professional development as a foundation for growth and student success?
For decades, Amery Hill School has held an unrivalled and well-deserved reputation as a school that delivers first-class support and care for all of its students, including for those with special educational needs or disabilities.
That only happens when you have a strong, cohesive staff body of teachers and support staff who have a shared passion and work collaboratively and innovatively towards a common goal.
We sincerely hope that whilst reading this, you are thinking about what we can do for you and what you can bring to enrich our culture of learning. As that is exactly where our Student Hub Team contribute and excel. They provide an invaluable service to our students and teachers and do so from diverse backgrounds.
Some have no previous experience of working in education, some themselves are teachers, others have experience of supporting young people with additional learning needs, while others join the team with a keen drive and ambition to ‘make a change’ to young peoples’ lives.
Whatever their background or experience, collectively they are instrumental in making a difference to student outcomes, every lesson, every day: small group interventions, in class support, individual support.
They all matter. They all help.
You can be part of all of this. Joining our Student Hub Team would give you the opportunity to make that massive difference to students' lives as well as providing you with the help, the support and training to better understand the difficulties so many young people face today.
We would be delighted to welcome you to visit our school and to show you how our approach provides every student with an ‘Education for Life’. Our recruitment event on Tuesday 5th December will give you a chance to see what we do.
We’d be even more delighted to hear how you believe you could make a positive impact for our students. Please visit www.ameryhill.hants.sch.uk/428/support-staff-vacancies for more information or give Natalie, our recruitment specialist, a call on 01420 81307.
